I just watched a news report that the production of vinyl pressed records have begun has been revived in Toronto. I thought one of the advantages from the digitalization of music was that it wasn’t as heavy or bulky to carry around.
Sure you get a different quality of sound with vinyl but does this mean that we are going to have DJ’s walking down Yonge or to the club with crates?
I honestly can appreciate the whole novelty of finding music, and definitely the smell and feel of the newly pressed albums. But one thing that the digital DJ’s will always have over the old school style will be it’s potability.
Either way I am quite glad that records are coming back to production, finally going to get that old style of music culture back around in the music scene.
