October Update

Well, it’s been a doozy (do people even say that anymore?). September started off with the Toronto International Film Festival, this year being it’s 50th installment. I saw Tom Hanks, who walked right by me, and Mark Ruffalo asked me a question; however, I didn’t even know it was him and I was answering questions all the time, so I figured that I would let my colleague who was in a wheelchair handle it, yet she didn’t know. So a suit came in quickly and took him away to the correct theatre.

I am starting to utilize AI a lot more than usual, and it’s turning out to really benefit me. I however, refuse to use AI type for me, I may not be the greatest writer to that of other bloggers or writers (seriously though, I am not even an English major) but I try.

October is here, I am in my final year(s) of this crazy science degree. This being my second undergraduate degree, yet it isn’t feeling like an undergraduate degree at all. I have never been in a Masters program or a Ph. D for that matter, but I am literally reading about 3 papers a week in different fields of biology, I have class readings as well, I have a weekly Genetics lab, I also have a Mycology lab, I present at least twice a month, I am volunteering to help out Dr. Carrie Pratt in the Yan lab, she has me reading 8 papers, I need to be trained to work with a High Powered Computer so I can schedule her jobs, and I have to learn some code.

I have a total of five courses, Mycology, Neuroethology, Advanced Topics in Molecular Parasitology, Genetics and Animal Developmental Biology. I am also going to be volunteering at another film festival, Blood in the Snow. They are using different theatres that I have never been to. The film culture in Toronto is quite wild, at least from what I can remember. Back when I had Facebook, there were so many events.

Anyway, I really should get back to this science stuff. I run a Tumblr too, I am just so disorganized with everything, like honestly I need a social media manager and scheduler like Hootsuite, that isn’t Hootsuite prices. Happy Halloween!
